Congratulations to ihop leader Professor Sandi Hayes who was selected this year by ESSA (Exercise and Sports Science Australia) as a pioneering women in the exercise and sports science industry.
This year’s International Women’s Day campaign looked at #BeBoldForChange, and last month ESSA called for nominations for influential women who have actively worked for change in this industry. Prof Hayes was one of three women selected by a panel for portraying true leadership and influential change.
Professor Sandi Hayes strives to improve women’s health through world-first research into the use of exercise in optimising outcomes for women with breast and gynaecological cancers. Her passion and success are providing a visible path for women in research to emulate and Sandi is a valuable mentor for women wanting to progress in the field of exercise and cancer.
